www.transylvaniatrail.com is the official website of the Transylvania Trail event, a project dedicated to promoting a selfsupported bikepacking adventure in Transylvania, Romania, and to sharing information about the route, the region, and future editions of the event.

The Transylvania Trail website is owned and operated by Rotas Digital S.R.L., a private legal entity established in Romania (hereinafter the “Owner”).

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the website (hereinafter the “Site”), including, without limitation, viewing content, using interactive features, submitting information and completing registration procedures. By accessing, browsing or using any features of the Site, the user (hereinafter the “User”) declares that they have read, understood and agree to fully comply with these Terms of Use.

The Terms of Use may be modified and updated at any time by the website administrator, hereinafter the “Administrator”, without prior notice to the persons using the Site (the “Users”). Changes take effect from the date they are published on the Site.

Users have permanent access to the Terms of Use and acknowledge that continued browsing and use of the Site constitutes their agreement to any changes made.

If Users do not agree with these Terms of Use, they must cease accessing and using this service.

Data provision and data security

Participants in the event must provide complete and accurate personal data, as requested in the registration form.

Participants are obliged to update their personal data whenever the information previously provided in the registration form no longer corresponds to reality. Personal data is confidential.

Use of Transylvania Trail information

The information contained on the Site is intended for use by Users for the purpose of informing about and promoting the project and may not be commercialized in any form. Illegal or unauthorized use of information from the Site, including but not limited to images, videos, photographs or any other information or data for the purpose of commercialization, broadcasting or sending unsolicited messages, is strictly prohibited.

The information contained on the Site may include route descriptions, maps, photographs, articles and other informational materials. All such materials are for information purposes only and do not constitute professional advice on navigation, safety or fitness level.

Ownership of content

“Content” is defined as all information contained on the Transylvania Trail Site, in the form of text, data, software, videos or images. The Site Content is the property of the Owner and may not be copied, broadcast, sold or resold except with its prior written consent. Unauthorized use of information, trademarks or any data from the Site is strictly prohibited; in case of violation of these provisions, the Owner reserves the right to undertake any actions necessary to protect its rights and to seek compensation for any damage caused.

By submitting Content to the Site or to associated marketing platforms, you grant the Owner, free of charge, the right to use, reproduce and display such content in connection with the Site and with the promotion of the Transylvania Trail event.

Limitation of liability

Users understand and agree to the following:

  • The use of the information and services of the Transylvania Trail Site is at the User’s own risk. The services are provided on an “as is” or “as available” basis.
  • There may be interruptions, errors, delays in the provision of services or in the correction of software errors, including with regard to the information published on the Site.
  • No information obtained from or through the Site shall create any responsibility for the Owner.
  • If the Site allows you to submit comments, testimonials, photographs or other materials, you are responsible for ensuring that such content is lawful, does not infringe third party rights and is not defamatory, discriminatory or otherwise harmful.

The Site may contain links to third party websites or services, such as accommodation providers, transport services, mapping platforms or social networks. These external sites are operated by independent entities, and Transylvania Trail has no control over their content, policies or availability. Access to such third party resources is at your own risk and is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

Registration and payment

The Owner offers the possibility of online registration and payment for Transylvania Trail events.

Upon placing an order, the customer accepts these Terms of Use without objection, their value being the same as that of a validly concluded contract. By agreeing to these Terms of Use, the customer fully assumes the rights and obligations arising from registration.

Users must be 18 years of age or older at the time of placing an order.

Other provisions

The Owner may, at any time and unilaterally, suspend, modify, add or delete parts of the Content provided on the Transylvania Trail Site.

The Administrator may modify these Terms of Use at any time, without prior notice. The new rules will take effect from the moment they are displayed on the Site. When the terms and conditions of use of the Site are modified, the “last updated” date will be adjusted accordingly.

Applicable legislation

The rights and obligations of the parties, as set forth in this document, as well as the legal effects it produces, are governed by Romanian law.

Any dispute arising from or in connection with this document shall be settled amicably. If the dispute cannot be resolved amicably, the parties shall refer the matter to the competent courts of law.

Use of personal data

The purpose of collecting personal data is to enable us to contact you in connection with registration, to provide information about the event that is available only after registration, and to inform you about updates and changes to the program.

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which entered into force on 25 May 2018, we remind you that you have the following rights:

  • the right to information, access, rectification and intervention with regard to the data;
  • the right not to be subject to an individual decision;
  • the right to obtain restriction of processing and data portability;
  • the right to object to processing and to request the deletion of personal data concerning you; as well as the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated means.

We retain your personal data for a period of 3 years.
